Clip Exhibition & Display, Bristol-based international leaders in the design and construction of exhibition stands, has welcomed the return of a highly experienced member of senior staff after a two-year break.
Richard Proctor worked for Clip for ten years, managing some of the firm’s largest and most prominent oil and gas clients, and delivering stands at high-profile industry events as the Australasian Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition in Perth, Oceanology in London, OTC Houston and the Abu Dhabi international Petroleum Exhibition & Conference. In 2013, Richard helped deliver 15 stands at the Offshore Europe event in Aberdeen, including a 230-square metre stand for Houston-based wellhead providers Dril-Quip.
In 2014, Richard left Clip to live with his family on the Isle of Skye, but is now returning to the company as Senior Client Relationship Manager, charged with managing and developing existing customers in the North of England and Aberdeen from his base in both Yorkshire and Edinburgh.
“We’re obviously delighted to have Richard back,” comments Clip Head of Marketing Paul Runacres. “His extensive experience in oil and gas makes him the perfect person to take the lead for us in that sector going forward; particularly as many energy companies seek to realign their promotional activities in an uncertain climate. Last year, for example, the Offshore Europe event was hit by the price of oil – but we still delivered 11 stands. We’re already in conversation with over 15 companies regarding Offshore Europe 2017, due to be held September next year – and it’s fantastic that not only these firms, but businesses throughout the North of England will be able to benefit from Richard’s diligence and expertise in the months and years ahead.”
Richard Proctor comments: “It’s fantastic to be back at Clip. I’m really looking forward to catching up with old clients, and forging positive working relationships with new ones.”
