Members of the team at Clip Exhibition & Display have participated in a series of charity challenges and events in 2016 to raise a grand total of £1,679 for various causes. Nine Clip staff from the business’s UK and German offices completed the challenging Battle of Lansdown in March, which saw the group tackle 30 obstacles over 10k of extreme terrain in the south west countryside. Clip raised £425.57 through its JustGiving page for Blind Veterans UK, in honour of Mark Erwood, a supporter of the charity and an employee of Clip who died suddenly earlier this year. In July, Bristol team members Jean Barrett, Louise Stallard, Julie Hendy, Pamela Lea, Lyn Thatcher, Zoe Pagington and Claire Yoxall took part in a Midnight Walk. The 10-mile sponsored walk around the city of Bristol raised a total of £1,086 for St. Peter’s Hospice. Recently Clip sponsored a local coffee morning – as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – raising £157.28 for the charity. Clip Managing Director Geoff Barrett – who took part in the Battle of Lansdown – commented: “We’re always keen to support charities and our local community. I’m extremely proud of the Clip team and grateful to everyone who has sponsored our efforts. The charities we have donated to are ones that are close to our hearts and are helping to change people’s lives.” Clip is a Bristol-based international leader in the design and build of exhibition stands and has worked with a host of companies across the southwest and internationally including Thatchers Cider, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, Google, Westons Cider, BT and GSK.
