Two family businesses, both international leaders in their field, have come together to work on a series of major projects. Bristol headquartered Clip Exhibition & Display will be working on Tiverton based manufacturer HepcoMotion’s international live events and exhibition programme. Clip was founded over 35 years ago by industry legend John Runacres and his son Paul is now Sales and Marketing Director at the company. Paul Runacres HepcoMotion have a similar lineage and in 2013 Giles Forster became the third generation of the Forster family to chair the Hepco Group of companies. Hepco is a world-leading manufacturer of linear motion systems and automation components, which first started trading in 1969. On the relationship with Clip, Giles comments: “We exhibit at fifteen shows around the world in all our key markets such as the UK, Germany, France, Holland, Spain, China and South Korea, so we were looking for a partner that could support us with designing and building our stands. “We used to spend hours and hours designing and planning our exhibition stand each year but now Clip have taken this task away and saved us lots of time and energy. Fundamentally they take care of the whole process from design to build and then de-construction. “They are cutting-edge at what they do and you can trust them to produce a world-class job. There isn’t another company that can offer the experience and expertise that they do – plus they are a family business, driven by values.” Giles also says that engaging Clip has meant more free time for their sales teams. “The last thing our sales team should be doing is building and bringing down exhibition stands. Having Clip involved has meant they have more time to concentrate on developing business opportunities.” Paul Runacres comments: “Hepco is a world-leading family run business and we are looking forward to supporting them with their global events programme. For us, it’s all about making them look as good as they can and adding real value.” The Clip Group ended 2014 with revenues of £8.5 million, 83 staff on the books and having designed over 400 stands for some of the UK and world’s biggest exhibitions. In 2014 Clip Ltd also built and opened an exclusive Live Lounge, where customers can experiment with and formulate branding and creative ideas. Clip work with a host of companies across the region and internationally including Thatchers Cider, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, Google, Westons Cider, BT and GSK.
