Cutting-edge equipment that produces odourless ink has helped a Bristol based company win a major new client. Clip Ltd announced this month that it is now working with Yankee Candle – which is an international retailer – to support the company with much of its exhibition and conferencing requirements. Clip is an international leader in the design and build of exhibitions and its investment in innovative printing technology that stops stands and displays from smelling of ink helped to win the contact, as it was an issue Yankee Candle were looking to solve. The company also switched to Clip due to the fact they can supply all aspects of event coordination under one roof, meaning that Yankee Candle don’t need to use a number of different suppliers, should they wish. Paul Runacres, who is Head of Sales & Marketing at Clip, comments: “Often exhibitions stands and promotional displays can smell of ink but we invested 45 thousand pounds to buy new printing machines in order to produce odourless print, something that appealed to Yankee Candle.” Clip have already produced the graphics for Yankee’s start of year conference which was attended by 150 people. The project required Clip to supply additional staging and coordinate a complete de-rig and re-rig to allow the conference room to be used as a party venue in the evening, where a nine-piece band entertained staff. Clip also produced a number of outdoor display stands for the event. Emma Huws, of Yankee Candle, comments: “Previously we have worked with a number of different companies that all deal with one part of the exhibition and conference solution – now by working with Clip we are working with a company that can provide all of the services; and to a very high standard.” The Clip Group ended 2014 with revenues of £8.5 million, 83 staff on the books and having designed over 400 stands for some of the UK and world’s biggest exhibitions. The company are also on course to exceed sales targets for Q1, which have been set 20 % higher than 2014 as part of an ambitious growth plan. In 2014 Clip Ltd also built and opened an exclusive Live Lounge, where customers can experiment with and formulate branding and creative ideas. Clip work with a host of companies across the region and internationally including Thatchers Cider, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, Google, Westons Cider, BT and GSK.
